At Grace, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to either our 10 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. service.
Our church is located at the intersection of Main and B Street, just about ½ block from Rocco’s. Parking is located both in front and behind the church. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that our congregation has people in all kinds of attire. While a few people in the church still wear suits, ties and Sunday dresses, many, including our ladies, will also be dressed in pants and jeans. All we ask is that you dress in modesty. Whatever you wear, we assure you that you will be treated just the same as everyone else.
When you arrive before service times someone will be there to meet you and your family at the door. Be sure to introduce yourself. We want to know a little about you too! They'll be sure to show you where everything is you may need.
Unfortunately in the wake of recent church violence, we have been advised by our local police to take measures to secure the church for everyone's safety. This means once service begins doors are locked, you will need to be let in by an usher. If you arrive late and do not see an usher at the door, please ring the bell to page him and he will be with you shortly.
If you need a nursery it is located in the front vestibule of the church. There you can still listen and watch the service. We encourage children as much as possible to stay out front with their parents. We’ve grown used to “out preaching” young children! If you have any questions about the service itself, just ask someone at the door and they will be sure to get you the answers you need.
Our services begin at 10 a.m. with songs, followed by preaching. At 10:50 a.m. we dismiss to Sunday School. Classes are available for youth through high school. We have an adult Sunday School class in the main sanctuary at this time as well. Around 11:35 a.m. we begin what many think of as our Main Worship Service. This is the service most first time visitors come to attend. Services normally conclude around 12:40 p.m.
If you have any questions before your visit, please do not hesitate to contact Pastor John directly at (304) 544-2239.
